Defect Repairs - Block Management Project

Easton Bevins’ professional services were employed to repair the defects to the existing flat roof structure and upgrade where required as the roof was at the end of its useful life.

The existing parapet wall to the block of flats did not include a cavity tray, cavity closer or a sufficient overhang from the highest brick course (capping), this caused water ingress through and down the cavity allowing damp to enter the flats. The insufficient overhang also allowed water to run down the face of the brickwork (a potential cause for further water ingress).
