I worked initially in the public sector in the field of Building Control whilst undertaking specialist qualifications in Surveying and Fire Engineering. I became a Senior Building Control Officer with responsibility for special projects and fire safety issues in 1995.

I moved to the private sector in 1997 gaining extensive experience as a Chartered Building Surveyor, and am currently Technical Director of Easton Bevins.
